Standard grinding is 4–8 inches below ground level — deep enough to plant grass or sod over the spot. We can grind deeper if you're planning to plant a new tree, install a patio, or pour concrete; just let us know in the estimate.

What happens to the wood chips?

Most customers leave the chips on-site to fill the hole or use as mulch. If you'd rather have them hauled away, we can do that too — usually for a small additional fee.
